- Bridgeport Design Group is an interdisciplinary group of designers dedicated to improving the quality of our built environment. Founded in 1998 by the urban and land use planner Matthew Preston and the architect Nils Wiesenmüller, the Group was conceived as a vehicle to allow like-minded designers to work collaboratively on projects that enhance the quality of the environments in which people live and work. Bridgeport Design Group has been in involved in projects ranging form product and furniture design to large urban redevelopments. The Group's work is currently focused on the redevelopment of underutilized urban areas and the planning and design of zero net-energy neighborhoods and buildings.
